About this directory

New indoor cycling apps now appear almost every day, many of them built by one person with AI help and announced on r/IndoorCycling. This directory keeps them in one table with the big platforms, so riders can compare them and developers can see what already exists.

What gets listed

Any app, web app, game or mod you can ride with a smart trainer or smart bike. Companion tools (controller bridges, route calculators and the like) aren't listed for now, because we make one ourselves. Today that's 98 entries: 20 major platforms and 78 indie apps. Discontinued apps stay listed and are marked, so old links and threads still make sense.

Where the data comes from

  • Each app's own website, app store pages and repository.
  • Launch and feedback posts on r/IndoorCycling and related subreddits, which a script scans for new apps.
  • Submissions from developers and riders, checked by hand before they go live.
  • OpenBikeControl support, copied from the protocol's public implementation list.

Every app page lists its sources. When we couldn't confirm something (a price, a platform, a launch month), it says unknown rather than guessing. There are no ratings, no rankings and no paid placements.

Use the data

The whole directory is available as JSON and as plain text for AI assistants (llms.txt, llms-full.txt). Please link back to the app pages when you use it.

Who makes it

It's built by Jonas, creator of OpenBikeControl and BikeControl. That's also why companion tools, BikeControl included, are left out for now. The OpenBikeControl column reflects the public list only, and it doesn't change the order of anything.

Corrections

Prices and platforms change fast. If something is wrong, use “Suggest a correction” on the app's page or the submit form.
